is a Doctoral Candidate at The Wharton
School. Before Wharton, Colleen worked for three years in
the Health Care Investment Banking departments at Raymond
James & Associates and SunTrust Equitable Securities and
volunteered with the peace and health teams at The Carter
Center in Atlanta, Georgia over a six-year period. She
received her B.A. in Economics, summa cum laude, from
the University of the South (Sewanee) in 1999.
Colleen co-developed and is in the third year of
co-teaching an undergraduate course, Health Care Strategy
and Management: The Business of Health Care, at The
Wharton School with Professor John R. Kimberly. She is the
recipient of several awards, including a National Research
Scholar Award from the Agency for Healthcare Research and
Quality. Additionally, she has published on the adoption of
innovations in health care provider organizations and has a
forthcoming publication on cultural influences on the
evolution of innovation.
